A STUDY OF LOCALES IN THE SELECT NOVELS OF CHETAN BHAGAT

Abstract

            Chetan Bhagat, the icon of popular fiction stories, beguiles millions of readers with his humourous and sparkling dialogues. His stealthy success in the publishing field brings him into the lime-light. Bhagat’s art of storytelling and characterisation finds him an unique place in the contemporary literature. The writer has a story message to the readers in all his novels. The setting of the story plays an important role for his success in the publishing filed. From metropolitan cities to rural Bihar, he has covered every landscape with its minute details. Through his locales, one can easily identify the culture, social setup in the novels. This paper is an attempt to study on the locales in the select novels of Chetan Bhagat.
